MIRAMAR Presents: INKED CITY URBAN SHOWCASE

We have a big event lined up for you on Friday, October 23, first we start with a Meet & Greet at 2pm SLT, with DJ Dush at Mobrule Apocalipse. Then at 3pm SLT the inked City Urban Showcase with designs of the wonderfull designer Gena Praga of Praga Tattoos, with DJ Dush. At 4pm SLT a Great Party with DJ Belle. Then we change location to the Praga Mainstore Warehouse where there will be a big After Party with DJ Hardshaft from 8 to 10pm SLT. So come all, you Tattoo Lovers and ofcourse all Party Lovers to witness this big Event. See a Great Show and maybe buy that one Great Tat you love.

Mexican Spirit on SVD

"Lindens for language" is a project by Wilson Voight and the Instituto Español to help Spanish teachers in Mexico to get the needed resources to be able to connect to the internet and Second Life for the purpose of teaching Spanish inworld.

First part of this effort was the Fashion Show very professionally put together by Miramar Modeling Agency and named 'Mexican Spirit', wich showed the wide variety of traditional mexican Clothing designed by Marycoco Capra and acompanied by the sounds of the well known guitarist Joaquin Gustav.

Marycoco: This project is to let the world know, because SL is a world, the traditional clothing of Mexico inspired by my Mexican roots, and to let people know more about Mexico and its Culture and also participate in this charitive project.

Modeling Instructors & Show Scripters Wanted

Miramar Studio & Modeling Agency is looking for Modeling Instructors and Show Scripters for both SL and/or OS Grid.

Instructor:

He or she should be a team player, have at least 2 years training and experience in runway and photo work and be able to plan and run Workshops and lead Fashion Shows.

Scripter:

He or she should be a team player, must have been atleast 1 years inworld, have affiliation with SL Fashion and have good writing skills to be able to write the scripts for the shows.

We will be showing 21 of Marycoco's designs including 16 brand new designs. A feast to the eyes that will be acompanied by a feast to the ears, from the great guitarist Joaquin Gustav, who will play Live during the Show.Today, August 29, there will be two shows at 3pm and at 5pm SLT.

About OS Grid and Virtual Wallet (V$)

V$ is a form of virtual currency like the L$. The V$ is "Grid Independent", meaning that your V$ account can be used by any of your avatars on any virtual world that supports it. This saves the constant transferring of money from one currency to another as you buy and sell items on different grids. Also it is possible to have a joint account with your business partner or emotional partner.

The V$ to L$ transaction is free and at the exchange rate of 1:1, so for each L$ you give the ATM you get 1 V$ in your account. When you purchase V$ they are kept in an account on the V$ database. You can check the balance on this account at any time using any V$ ATM or V$ Vendor, your Balance will not show in your viewer as L$ or OS$ nor any other currency.

Many Grids have V$ based transactions, you will find that stores supporting V$ will have vendors specifically designed to allow you to touch and purchase from your V$ account.

Steps to take for going to OS Grid and start using the Virtual Wallet:

1. Go to: http://www.osgrid.org/elgg/ with your webbrouwser and create an Avatar on OS.

2. Go to: http://sourceforge.net/projects/opensim-viewer/files/Hippo%20OpenSim%20Viewer/v0.5.1%20%28LL1.22.11%29/Hippo_OpenSim_Viewer_v0.5.1_Windows_Setup.exe/download to download Hippo Viewer, install and log in to OS.

3. Go to a Virtual Wallet ATM in OS and touch it. A menu will apear, select "Link menu" then select "Show Code". Your code will be shown in your local chat. Copy or Write down this code.

4. Go to a Virtual Wallet ATM in SL and touch it. Here select "Link menu" then select "Link Account". You will be asked for the code.

5. Enter the code that you got in OS in local chat. The ATM will confirm that the avatar on OS is linked to the avatar in SL.

6. Buy V$ paying L$ to any Virtual Wallet ATM in Second Life.

Miramar Changes Main Office to OS Grid

With us at OS Miramar Mall are allready: Unique Moonsoo, Maylo Designs, L.A. Designs, Sascha's Designs and a big shop of NAT Home Center and more comming soon like Santero and Silk Dreams.

So if you would like to join us there we still have shops available they will be 20V$ (=20L$) a week per 50 prims, but for a short period they will be free till all is finished on the sims. Just im me (Miguel Rotunno) inworld in OS/SL if you are interested. To go to our new headquarters you have to create an avatar at: http://www.osgrid.org/elgg/ since we can't tp directly from SL to OS yet.

KUNGLERS SPRING COLLECTION

Miramar Proudly Presents: Kunglers Spring Collection

The sisters AvaGardner Kungler and Barbra Kungler never stop to amaze us with their wonderfull and detailed designs, as they will show once again in this Marvelous Fashion Show.

In this show we will be showing a total of 32 dresses of the Kunglers and most of them in all their colors and variations.

The Kunglers designs will look even better in Maylo Designs Jewlery wich we will show also in the Show.

So come all you fashion lovers to see this Grand Show of Kunglers Creativity on Saturday, May 16, 2pm SLT at Miramar, Isla Bella.

Modeling Instructor Wanted

Miramar Studio & Modeling Agency is looking for a Modeling Instructor.

He or she should be a team player, have at least 2years training and experience in runway and photo work and should be available in sl mornings atleast one or two days.

Also shold he or she be able to plan and run workshops and lead fashionshows.

Cool Waters Prolongued

Prolongued Photo Contest at Miramar, Isla bella now til April 30.

Two winners a female and a male will recieve both 9 vouchers of 250L$ to be spend at shops at Miramar Modeling Agency. One voucher for every Shop on the premises.

We will take in contestants pictures til April 25 and the contest will run to April 30.

Rules: all is allowed aslong with in the theme of contest namely Cool Waters, so any photo with water in it will be in contest, nudity is allowed aslong it's tastefull and not explicit.

Photos should be deposited in the mailbox at the office of Miramar Studio & Modeling Agency or sent to Miguel Rotunno or Shalimar Novi, after we will review them and decide if they are within the contest rules and add them to the boards.
